Guidelines:

1. Requesting organizations should be non-profit companies based in Kentucky which benefit children.

2. Donations are not made to individuals. Cash donations are not made by Explorium.

3. Requests must be made 30 days in advance.

4.  Foster Care agencies, orphanages and other community-based non-profit organizations are encouraged to request donated free admission passes or discounted group admission.

5. Requests must be submitted on official letterhead and include an email for a response from Explorium of Lexington.

Procedure:

1. All requests must be submitted on official letterhead. It is recommended that the organization submit a letter of tax-exempt status from the IRS, and other supporting documentation including the mission and history of the organization.

2. Submit the request by email at chamberlain@explorium.com or by mail attention to Sarah Chamberlain at 440 W. Short St. Lexington, KY 40507.

3. A response via email will be given to the requesting organization with Explorium’s decision.

4. We appreciate that approved organizations promptly acknowledge our contribution in a written letter, addressed to our Executive Director, Mike Gilmore.
