Choose from our menu of educational and entertaining science programs - all of which reflect Kentucky curriculum standards. Our programs are designed to inspire curiosity through hands-on experiences.

All Field Trips TO GO! programs can be used as in-house programs to supplement your visit to Explorium of Lexington. Contact the office at (859) 258-3253 ext. 13 to schedule a program for your classroom.

Program Information

• All programs can be added onto a regular field trip at Explorium.
• All programs have a maximum of 30 participants.
• Programs are available for presentations Monday through Friday, as staff is available.

Field Trips TO GO! Pricing and Policies:

Distance — Outside Fayette County, $1 per mile (round trip) when round trip is more than
        25 miles (Explorium to school to Explorium, based on MapQuest estimates).

Late Payment — A charge of 10% is added to unpaid balances when not received 15 days after the presentation(s)

Cancellation Fee — A charge of 50% (up to $60) is due to Explorium if all presentations at a school on the same day are cancelled less than 7 days prior to the presentation.

Policies

1. Explorium requires 30 minutes to set up in the presentation room prior to the presentation, without students present. 

2. At least one teacher must be present at all times during presentations. 

3. Explorium requires 30 minutes to pack up materials after the final presentation.  

4. Checks must be made out to Explorium of Lexington and include in the “for” space Field Trips To Go.

5. Checks can be mailed to Explorium of Lexington, 440 West Short Street, Lexington, KY 40507 or given to the presenter the day of the visit.
