Your Support Makes the Explorium Even Better!

While the Explorium earns income through our admissions, birthday parties, memberships, store, group visits, and an appropriation from Lexington Fayette Urban County Government, we rely heavily on individual and corporate donors to provide the high quality exhibits and programs you enjoy. In fact, new exhibits are funded through donations. All programs are provided free with Museum admission thanks to our donors.

You can make a donation today by selecting the donate now button and make your contribution. You can make a one-time donation or sign up to make a monthly contribution! Contributions bring smiles to many, many children! Thank you.

Explorium of Lexington is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization so your contributions are tax deductible. For more information about giving through a credit card, stock transfer, or through your will or estate, please call Executive Director Lee Ellen Martin at 859-258-3253 or email her at executive@explorium.com.

It’s our 25th anniversary and you can be a part of it! We are creating a gumball mural to be displayed in the gumball room which we use as our birthday party/camp room. You can purchase gumballs to place in the tubes for the mural for $.25 per gumball.

Examples of what could your contribution do?

  • $25 a tube of gumballs for the mural
  • $50 provides bubbles for a month
  • $125 free admission for one classroom on free or reduced lunch
  • $250 provides a scholarship for one week of camp
  • $500 sponsors a week of programming
  • $1,000 sponsors a year of one of the preschool programs (4 available)

There are a variety of new exhibits in various stages of design and infrastructure needs including new carpeting on the first floor. If you or your company would like to sponsor an exhibit, please contact Lee Ellen Martin at 859-258-3253 or at executive@explorium.com.
