Explorium Donors

While Explorium receives funding from admissions and from the generous support of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, the quality of its programs and interactive displays is dependent on your financial support.  Individual, corporate and foundation gifts have made up a sizable portion of the annual operating budget in past years.  In fact, almost every improvement and new interactive exhibit is made possible entirely by donated funds and expertise.

Explorium of Lexington is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, so your contributions are tax deductible.  Donations at certain levels also carry other benefits, detailed below.  For more information about giving by credit card, stock donations, or through your will or estate, please contact Michael Gilmore, Executive Director, at (859) 258-3253 x 15, or at executive@explorium.com

Donor Circles:

• Explorer — $2,500 annually or more
  Free Family-PLUS membership and a free 3-hour Facility Rental
• Voyager — $1,000 annually or more
  Free Family-PLUS membership and 25% off Facility Rental
• Inventor — $500 annually or more
  Free family membership and a free Happy Birthday Party for 10 participants
• Discoverer — $250 annually or more
  Free family membership
• Adventurer — $50 to $250 annually
  Free individual membership
  

If your employer has a matching gifts program, your membership to one of the above Circles will be determined by the total gift you’ve made possible, including the match.

Explorium Memberships:
Explorium Memberships provide individuals and families with a full year of free Explorium admission, plus discounts on birthday parties, workshops and Explorium merchandise.
